Anniversary celebration launches at SUN 'n FUN with events for every generation of aviator
Lakeland, Fla. (April 14-19, 2026) – Bose is marking four decades of aviation headset innovation at SUN ‘n FUN 2026 with a week of activities to amplify the voices that matter most in aviation – from the pilots who have been flying for decades to the students just getting started.
“When Jeana Yeager and Dick Rutan became the first pilots to fly the Voyager around the world nonstop without refueling in 1986, Bose was there,” says Michael Dodge, head of Global Aviation at Bose. “Our first active noise cancellation prototypes helped preserve their hearing over nine days and 26,000 miles. After four decades of pioneering noise cancellation in the cockpit, we’re still focused on the same thing: cutting through the noise so pilots can hear what matters.”
Bose will celebrate this historic milestone throughout the year, beginning with a series of on-site events and 40th anniversary giveaways and special offers at SUN ‘n FUN, Booth SNF-007.

Pilots of all experience levels are invited to visit the Bose booth and share their pilot story in a dedicated video recording station.

AviationStart’s Jamail Larkins will be at the booth to answer student pilot questions and share scholarship resources through AviationStart. Event attendees can register for a chance to win a Bose A30 aviation headset.
Meet our Student Ambassadors
Student ambassadors Daniel Madan and Sarah Stanley will be roaming the grounds at SUN ‘n FUN on Tuesday and Thursday with a mic and camera to get attendees’ hot takes on aviation. They’ll also be in the Bose tent on Wednesday, sharing their student pilot perspective while doing headset demos.
