Plan Ahead for a Smooth Arrival
Flying your aircraft to SUN ’n FUN is part of the experience. A little preparation before departure will help make your arrival, parking and eventual departure from Lakeland as smooth as possible.
Before flying into or departing Lakeland Linder International Airport, review the current SUN ’n FUN NOTAM for official procedures, frequencies and operating information.
Prepare Your Aircraft Parking Sign
Before you arrive, know where you intend to park or camp and prepare the appropriate aircraft parking sign identified in the current NOTAM.
Display your parking sign clearly on the left side of your windshield so SUN ’n FUN ground personnel can identify your destination and direct you to the appropriate area after landing.
Parking signs should use large, dark lettering at least 6 inches tall and be readable from approximately 50 feet away.
Electronic tablets should not be used as aircraft parking signs.
Flying In for the Day?
If you’re flying in for the day and aren’t camping with your aircraft, General Aircraft Parking is available at no additional charge.
You’ll only need SUN ’n FUN admission for the days you plan to attend.
Prepare and display the appropriate General Aircraft Parking sign before arrival and follow the direction of SUN ’n FUN ground personnel after landing.
Secure Your Aircraft
Pilots should arrive prepared with the equipment needed to properly secure their aircraft.
Aircraft parked on turf must be tied down, while aircraft parked on paved surfaces must be appropriately chocked.
Need tie-downs? Aircraft tie-downs are available for purchase onsite for $40.

Staying With Your Aircraft?
