Built by Hand. Built to Fly.
Some of the most impressive aircraft at SUN ’n FUN didn’t roll off an assembly line—they were built by the people who fly them.
Explore an incredible collection of Homebuilt aircraft, meet the builders behind them and discover the craftsmanship, creativity and determination it takes to turn plans and parts into a flying aircraft.
Whether you’re a builder, thinking about starting a project or simply love airplanes, Homebuilt is a place to get inspired.
Meet the Builders
The aircraft are only part of the story.
One of the best parts of exploring Homebuilt is meeting the people who actually built the airplanes you’re looking at.
Ask questions, hear their stories and learn firsthand about the challenges, rewards and countless hours that go into transforming an idea into an aircraft capable of taking to the sky.
Learn from the Homebuilt Community
Thinking about building—or just curious about how it’s done?
Hear from builders, pilots and aviation experts during forums covering aircraft construction, design, builder assistance, safety, flying adventures and more.
