Helicopter and Rotorcraft pilots flying to SUN ’n FUN arrive directly at Choppertown, where the Choppertown team is ready to assist with arrival, registration and getting you settled for the Expo.
Before You Fly
Review the current SUN ’n FUN NOTAM before departing for Lakeland. The NOTAM is the authoritative source for current Helicopter and Rotorcraft arrival and departure procedures.
Because Rotorcraft arrive directly at Choppertown, no aircraft parking placard is required.
Arriving at Choppertown
Upon arrival, land in the designated Choppertown area and shut down your aircraft.
The Choppertown volunteer team will assist you after landing and provide transportation to the Pilot Welcome Center to complete your registration and receive your event credentials.
Once you’re ready to return to your aircraft, the Choppertown Express will provide transportation back to Choppertown.

Helicopter Pilot Shuttle Presented by The American Helicopter Company
The Choppertown Express is a dedicated shuttle service exclusively for helicopter pilots flying into SUN ’n FUN.
Presented by The American Helicopter Company, the Choppertown Express provides convenient transportation from the Pilot Welcome Center directly to Show Center, giving helicopter pilots quick access to exhibits, activities and everything happening throughout the Expo.
A designated pickup and drop-off location near Show Center makes it easy to get into the event after completing pilot registration.
Ready to Head Back to Your Aircraft?
When you’re ready to return to Choppertown, simply call the dedicated Choppertown Express number provided to you when you’re picked up.
The shuttle will take you directly back to your helicopter when you’re ready to depart for the day.

Warbird helicopters have additional coordination requirements after arriving and shutting down at Choppertown.
