We are FLY-IN HAPPY and grateful to the aviation community for our roots and our wings.
An idea became a reality back in 1975 when numerous aviation communities came together to showcase flying machines to their friends and fellow aviation enthusiasts on the north side of Lakeland Linder International Airport. That idea grew into a world-class, international event through the efforts of countless volunteers, pioneers, pilots, and community members. The results of those efforts forged a state-of-the-art aviation center with educational laboratories, museum, and high school; as well as becoming an aviation destination for those with a passion for aviation.
The mission then and our mission now is to engage and educate while preserving our heritage and inspiring the next generation. We truly are FLY-IN HAPPY! April 9 – 14, 2024 SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo.
