We really Turned up the Fun for 51 at EAA AirVenture 2024! Standing out in our Hawaiian ensemble, The Mooney Anomaly gear, and our stylish Flight Outfitters “The Island” shirts, we brought out the fun in SUN ‘n FUN!
One huge highlight of the week was the series of meet and greets at the SUN ‘n FUN booth. Several performers that made it on the 2025 SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo poster met aviation fans and signed posters to hand out. They also signed the wall-sized poster at the booth.. Meet and greets featured performers Greg Koontz, Kyle Fowler, Dan Reynolds, Airythmia, the P-51 Gunfighter team, the A-10 Demo Team, the F-35 Demo Team, the F-22 Demo Team, the CF-18 Demo Team, the Canadian Snowbirds, Aaron Fitzgerald, and Miss America!
And who can forget the main highlight of our 2025 SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo poster, The Mooney Anomaly? The vintage aircraft with a unique design stood at the forefront of the SUN ‘n FUN booth, attracting visitors who appreciated the artwork. Liam Hawkins, the owner of the aircraft, engaged with many SUN ‘n FUN fans and shared their excitement for the upcoming Aerospace Expo. The Mooney Anomaly will be displayed at the 2025 SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo this upcoming April.
Seasoned and new SUN ‘n FUN Fans took home tons of swag to remember their time at AirVenture. Along with our popular “Turn Up the Fun at 51!” fans, cooling towels, and posters, we also had a few giveaways for the fans to participate in! Our first giveaway was “Find Geno!” where our fans were sent out to find our President and CEO, Gene Conrad, in order to win weekly passes to the 2025 Aerospace Expo! Another giveaway was in partnership with Visit Central Florida and Flight Outfitters. The giveaway entailed hiding four orange crates around the AirVenture campus. Winners found the orange crates and returned them to the SUN ‘n FUN booth and received a swag bag filled with items such as Flight Outfitters merchandise, Visit Central Florida prizes, and daily SUN ‘n FUN tickets.
We extend a huge thank you to Visit Central Florida for helping us greet fans at our booth! Their expertise on the Central Florida area helped convince some SUN ‘n FUN fans to attend the fly-in while exploring other areas such as Legoland, Bok Tower Gardens, Safari Wilderness Ranch, and more on their visit to Florida.
