Our partners at Lakeland Linder International Airport (LAL) have recorded exponential growth in aircraft operations over the last decade driven by general aviation and flight training activity. To address the airport’s growth and future capacity needs, the airport’s master plan recommends the addition of a parallel runway south of the airport’s existing runway, 10/28.

In anticipation of the future impacts to our home at LAL, the teams at ACE/SUN ‘n FUN, LAL, and Visit Central Florida have spent the last year developing a 20-year Strategic Planning Study for the future of the ACE/SUN ‘n FUN footprint. Through extensive input and planning efforts, the resulting plan provides for significant improvements to the ACE/SNF Campus and Facilities.

Highlights of the plan include a reimagined entry plaza, improved aerospace educational facilities, two new large exhibition halls, expanded outdoor exhibit spaces, new aircraft parking areas, a relocated campground with improved amenities, a new show-center aircraft static apron, and numerous other site improvements for an enhanced guest experience.
