Field Trips

ACE is pleased to welcome you to the 49th annual SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo! To register your school, please complete the form below. The deadline to register is Tuesday, February 28, 2023. If you have any questions, please email the team at educate@flysnf.org. You will receive an email with further details after you have registered.

SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo Field Trips are available ONLY to: 

  • K-12 public schools 
  • K-12 private schools 
  • K-12 homeschools 

Details: 

Field Trips are SELF-GUIDED. Upon arrival, you will be provided with a map with detailed stops indicating where you and your students can engage with hands-on STEM and aerospace learning. You do not need to register separately to view the airshow, it’s included. 

Additional Education Opportunities – Require Pre-Registrations

Three additional educational opportunities are available to you this year. If you are interested, please indicate in the form below. You will receive a separate email with more information about these experiences. Indicating your interest is NOT confirmation of availability.

  • Skylab Innovation Center: (Appropriate for Grade 6+) An interactive educational experience including activities inside our four STEM laboratories and the Florida Air Museum.
    • Accommodates up to 100 students per day
    • Available Tuesday-Friday for registered school groups and the public Tuesday – Sunday (2:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
    • Begins at 10:00 am and ends at 1:30 pm for registered school groups
    • Open to the public and school groups for walk-throughs from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm (Redbird Simulation Lab by appointment ONLY)
  • NEXTGEN Aviators is the Proven 3-Hour Immersive Aviation Experience that Inspires Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers to Pursue Their Dreams. Learn more at https://www.nextgenaviators.aero/
    • Accommodates up to 60 students per day
    • Available Tuesday-Friday
    • Requires a flight waiver (It is the responsibility of the school group to confirm with their school district that they are allowed to participate)
    • The day and time of participation will be confirmed with school groups after registration
  • Youth Symposium: Hear directly from the Blue Angels Jet Team!
    • Available only on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 10:00 am
    • 30-minute presentation
    • We kindly ask that you do NOT leave in the middle of the presentation
    • Located at the Aerospace Pavilion
    • We ask that our school groups arrive no later than 15 minutes before 10:00 am

General Field Trip Availability:

  • Tuesday, March 28, 2023 – Friday, March 31, 2023
  • 10:00 am – 5:30 pm

Airshow:

  • Tentatively begins at 2:00 pm and ends at 5:00 pm daily. Viewing areas can be seen on the maps provided to you upon arrival. 

Cost:

  • General Admission: FREE for students, FREE for certified teachers, ALL additional adults must pay for admission (ONE FREE adult per 10 students).
  • You will be provided with an invoice IF you have additional adults that require admission tickets to be purchased. A group rate is available for those who have over 15 adults. This will be organized with you after you complete your registration.
  • Bus Parking: FREE (ACE is not responsible for the cost of your transportation)
  • Car Parking: If you plan to arrive via a car, you MUST prepay and park in general admission parking. Follow the link to purchase your parking tickets (You do not need to purchase admission tickets). https://flysnf.ticketapp.org/portal/product/18 
  • If some of your group is arriving by car and others by bus you will need to have someone meet your group at Main Registration to provide them with their wristbands. We encourage groups to either ALL arrive by bus or ALL arrive by car (one or the other).
  • If your group is arriving all by car, your packets with your wristbands and maps will be at Main Registration. If your group is arriving by bus, your packets with your wristbands and maps will be located at the Conex in Pink Lot. (Directions and Maps for bus parking will be provided in an email).

Number of Students, Teachers, and Chaperones:

  • You MUST have ONE chaperone/teacher per 10 students.
  • Make sure your total number of students, teachers, and chaperones is ACCURATE in this form to ensure the correct number of wristbands are ordered for your school. Accommodations cannot be made after Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
  • Your school group MUST have a minimum of 10 students.

Lunches:

Lunch is NOT provided. You may bring school lunches OR you and your students may purchase lunches from any one of our many vendors around the campus (provided on the map). An area will be provided for school groups that are bringing large coolers with their lunches. There are various areas for schools to have their lunches (to be indicated on a map).

IF YOU ARE ATTENDING MULTIPLE DAYS YOU MUST COMPLETE A FORM FOR EACH DAY.
