Aerobatic HQ

The mission of the AEROBATIC HQ SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo in Lakeland, FL is a central hub for aviation enthusiasts and pilots who are passionate about aerobatics. Its mission is:

  • To provide a place for aerobatic enthusiasts to gather and have a place to park their airplanes during the annual SUN ‘n FUN Fly-in.
  • To provide social and educational opportunities for all.
  • Visitors can learn about the techniques, equipment used in aerobatic flying, information for aerobatic training and schooling domestically and internationally and experience the excitement of this thrilling aspect of aviation up close.

For the purposes of this section, aerobatic flight means an intentional maneuver involving an abrupt change in an aircraft’s attitude, an abnormal attitude, or abnormal acceleration, not necessary for normal flight. FAR 91.303.

At the Aerobatic HQ, we promote stall and spin awareness, unusual attitude recovery training and better airmanship through aerobatic proficiency.

If you are flying in, check the NOTAM for arrival information. It is available at the SNF web site flysnf.org. Put a sign in your window with large letters ACRO and you’ll be directed to the Aerobatic HQ area.
