Gulf Coast Avionics in Cooperation with Garmin Join Holiday Flying Festival as Presenting Sponsors

Gulf Coast Avionics (GCA)  is a preferred Garmin dealer located on the Lakeland Linder International Airport. In a joint sponsorship effort, the two companies have partnered to support SUN ‘n FUN’s upcoming Holiday Flying Festival and Car show on December 4-5, 2020.

Rick Garcia, President and CEO of GCA, is also the Board chair for the Aerospace Center for Excellence (ACE), the STEM education complex that all of SUN ‘n FUN’s events support. “We are excited to support this new event at SUN ‘n FUN,” Garcia said. “This year has been very challenging for everyone, and having a fun holiday event to put 2020 behind us is just the boost our industry needs to usher in a better year in 2021.”

As part of their sponsorship, GCA and Garmin are providing a Garmin AERA 660 Portable GPS to be presented to the winner of the Aviat Aircraft Central Florida Classic STOL Competition.

Garcia is upbeat about the new series. “STOL is a fantastic up and coming sport, and the AERA 660 is the perfect fit for pilots participating in this competition. We’re glad to be a part of this first time event here in Central Florida.”
