Recreational Mobility announces a new version of Flare Assist Radar, the Flare Assist+

Recreational Mobility announces a breakthrough in radar altimetry for experimental aircraft. Flare Assist+
now includes verbal announcement of landing gear position as well as distance to the surface, whether
cement, asphalt, grass or water.

Building upon four years of proven performance of FlareAssistTM RADAR which provides accurate
announcement of altitude for pilots as they descend for landing, FlareAssist+ adds the safety benefit of
reminding the pilot of the landing gear position. The altitude announcements begin at either 30’ or 100’
depending on the FlareAssist version, and the gear announcement is made at 60’ for either version.
Announcements are made in steps all the way to 1’ above the surface.
