We have a volunteer meeting scheduled for the Holiday Fly-In Festival and Car Show on Saturday, November 20 at 10:00 am in the Museum Pavilion.  This will be a general discussion and sharing of information about the upcoming event.  This is not a mandatory meeting, but you are welcome to attend

Volunteer Check-In will be open starting Thursday, December 2, in the Camper Registration Building located in the field across from the main SUN 'n FUN entrance.  There will be a window dedicated to Volunteers who need to confirm their work schedule and location and who need to pick up any of the following:

  • Event Credential
  • Camper Permit | Vehicle Parking (Campground)
  • Vehicle Operations Permit
  • Volunteer Parking Permit
  • Meal Ticket(s)

This area is also our Guest/Volunteer Camper Registration area.  Please park clear of any camper traffic while picking up your credentials.

Volunteer Window Hours:

  • Thursday - 12 noon to 5 p.m.
  • Friday - 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Saturday - 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.

AUTO PARKING - After picking up your credentials, please drive through Rocky Road gate and proceed to the open area along west side of Rocky Road, just after the bridge.  Again, please park tight and neatly as we are also using this area for exhibitor parking. Please watch for signage. Driving guests will be directed to the main parking lot.

CAMPING: YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR CREDENTIAL BEFORE PLACING YOUR RIG - YOUR CAMPGROUND ASSIGNMENT MAY HAVE CHANGED.  After picking up your camping credential, please proceed to the assigned camping area. Please enter through the SUN 'n FUN main gate if you are camping in the Old Raiders/Kid Zone Campground. Please camp as tight as you can as we have many volunteer campers to place.

If you arrive prior to the schedule above, please contact Robin McFarland, for early check-in.


We are happy to introduce our new Holiday Flying Festival and Car Show event to our community of volunteers.  We hope you will join us for a weekend of fun and reconnecting with some old friends.  Through this event we also hope to introduce a few new volunteers to our family!

  • Comp Camping is available to Volunteers who will be working both days of the Holiday Fly-In Festival. Once you are assigned and confirmed a work area, your name will be added to the Camping List if camping is requested. We will do our best to provide the typing camping you require.

In order to receive complimentary volunteer camping, you must accept a volunteer job position for HFF and be available and ready to work for setup on Friday morning, Dec. 3rd or earlier and  and remain on-site through cleanup on Sunday, Dec. 5th, if necessary.

If you are onsite camping or have a rig stored onsite and meet the above requirements, you will be able to camp in your assigned space at no charge.


YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR CREDENTIAL BEFORE PLACING YOUR RIG - YOUR CAMPGROUND ASSIGNMENT MAY HAVE CHANGED.  For those volunteers who receive full hook-up camping in the Kidzone (Old Raiders) and behind the Vintage Hospitality Bldg. please park as tight as possible to allow everyone to fit.  Also, electricity is limited in these locations, please be aware that you cannot run all electrical items and multi A/C units in your RV unit at the same... We are asking you to limit your electric consumption to prevent loss of power.

We are selling our traditional full hook-up camp spaces, which are limited due to campground redesign and airport construction.  We are setting aside the old Raiders Campground/Kid Zone area on a first-come, first-serve basis for those who request an electric/water hook-up space and also meet the above requirements. This space will be very limited, so if dry camping will work for you for the weekend, please request volunteer dry camping which will be located in the convention campground.

All other camp spaces will be sold to attending guests.
