PLEASE REVIEW THESE SAFETY AND SECURITY POLICIES BEFORE ATTENDING
Please note that Lakeland Linder International Airport and SUN ‘n FUN authorized security personnel reserve the right to remove any guest who chooses not to abide by airport and/or SUN ‘n FUN safety policy. Below are some guidelines for what is and is not allowed on our event grounds.
- What is not allowed to be brought into SUN ‘n FUN Events?
Coolers, outside food and beverage, camelbacks, weapons of any kind, tent structures, self-standing umbrellas and pets are all prohibited. If you arrive to the front gate with these items, you will be directed by security to return them to your car or to discard them in a trash receptacle. These restrictions are not applicable to the campground areas; however, these items may not be brought from the campground into the main Expo area. - Are masks required due to COVID-19?
All guests are requested to wear masks except while seated viewing the air show and separated from other groups by at least 6 feet. There are areas where masks will be required due to local regulations. Guests may remove face coverings while actively eating or drinking but should be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing. Masks will be available. Please see our full COVID-19 policy page for more information. Please note that children under 2 are excluded from the mask requirement. - Can I bring a cooler with snacks and drinks to the show?
Due to numerous security regulations, outside coolers and food/beverage are NOT allowed into the event. Guests will be allowed to bring 1 sealed bottle of water per person, no larger than 1 liter in size.If a patron has special medical dietary restrictions, items will be allowed in reasonable quantities if accompanied by a doctor’s note. You will be asked to present your doctor’s note to security upon entry to the event. - Can I bring in my own chairs?
Yes. - Can I bring an umbrella?
Personal, handheld umbrellas will be allowed into the event. Self-standing umbrellas and awning, canopies or tent structures are strictly prohibited due to safety. - Are backpacks allowed?
Backpacks are allowed and will be subject to security inspection upon entrance into the event. - Are cameras and video recorders allowed?
Yes, feel free to take as many photos/videos as you would like and share them with us on social media. - Can I bring a wagon for my kids?
Wagons without a concealing enclosure will be allowed. - Are earplugs recommended?
YES! Earplugs or noise-canceling headphones can be a lifesaver if you have little ones (or anyone) with ears that need protecting – some of the airshow planes get LOUD! - Can I bring a golf cart?
Personal golf carts are not permitted on SUN ‘n FUN Event Sites. A mobility-impaired guest may bring a personal single-seat, battery-powered cart, powered wheelchair or any ADA approved mobility device to access the show site. - Are pets allowed entry to SUN ‘n FUN Events?
Due to concerns for the safety of attendees and animals, no pets will be allowed onto the Event site unless they are registered service animals. For clarification on qualifications of service animals, please visit the ADA website here. Pets are allowed in the campground but must be leashed or secured at all times per City of Lakeland regulations. Camping guests with pets that are loud or disruptive to other guests will be asked to remove them. Never leave a pet in a hot vehicle. - Are weapons allowed?
Weapons are not allowed onsite except by law enforcement. - Is smoking/vaping allowed at SUN ‘n FUN Events?
Smoking/vaping is only allowed in specific designated areas within the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus. There is absolutely NO SMOKING or vaping on or near any food area, flightline area, ramp, or parking area where aircraft are present, or at any time on any airside area (Lakeland Linder International Airport Aircraft Operations Area). Smoking/vaping is permitted within your specific campsite, but we ask that you be respectful of neighboring campers.
