Downtown Lakeland’s First Friday event “IS BACK”
and so is SUN ‘n FUN Fly-In with Flight Night!
SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo is proud to be the April 2nd sponsor of Downtown Lakeland’s monthly First Friday event in Munn Park bringing the fun and excitement of annual event directly to the community.
Lakeland is recognized world-wide as the home of aviation’s 2nd largest convention and airshow. SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo belongs to the City of Lakeland and to the residents of Polk County. SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo will be sponsoring promotions giving attendees to the downtown event ticket discounts and a chance to spin a prize wheel for upgrades and giveaways. In addition, SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo will recognize front-line health care workers and first responders who have had such a challenging year due to COVID-19.
Available only at this First Friday, any front-line health care workers who present a valid ID from any local hospital or first responder presenting a certified badge will receive a free single-day pass to SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo 2021. Badge or ID owner must be present, and this offer is only available at First Friday April 2nd, 2021.
SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo tickets will be available for purchase at Flight Night for any day of the 6-day event, but the discount deals are on the weekend, when students are out of school and families can attend together. SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo offers Florida residents a BOGO for the weekend shows. A Florida resident can buy a ticket for Saturday, get Sunday’s admission for free! In addition to the discounts, any purchase at Flight Night’s booth gets a chance at spinning a prize wheel, with prizes including free tickets, VIP upgrades, apparel, and other fun perks. The 47th annual SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo takes place at Lakeland Linder International Airport on April 13-18, 2021. There are over 350 exhibitors with high-tech experiences showcasing the latest innovations in aerospace technology. There is a 7-acre ramp and ½ mile of real runway with dozens of military fighters and heavy aircraft, plus four huge areas with hundreds of Warbirds, Golden Age, Homebuilt, and Light Sport aircraft. Visitors can meet fighter pilots and veterans from every era of aviation in multiple theaters and showcases. There are airshows daily, plus night shows on Wednesday and Saturday night. The airshows have over 50 acts scheduled for the week, and the featured performances this year will come from the U.S. Navy’s Flight Demonstration Team, The Blue Angels, The USAF F22 Raptor Demo Team, USAF C17 Demo Team and a Lakeland first – a Drone Light Show called “Star Dance Spectacular”, on Wednesday and Saturday nights. A fireworks show and breathtaking 2,000-ft Wall of Fire will provide a dramatic finale to Saturday night’s festivities.
